In this customer story The pricing challenge
After introducing RoomRaiser, Ágnes Kovács-Muhel and the Panoráma Hotel Noszvaj team shared how their pricing workflow changed. Their experience shows why competitor monitoring, PMS connectivity and simple rate controls matter for a smaller hotel team.
The pricing challenge
The team took over the hotel in 2019 and initially worked with traditional pricing. After the first COVID-related shutdown, they introduced dynamic pricing with an external provider and saw how strongly rate changes could affect revenue. The remaining challenge was operational: setting the right prices still required frequent competitor checks, occupancy analysis and manual spreadsheet work.
“As more hotels similar to ours began using dynamic pricing, we also realised that we needed to check rates more frequently than our time allowed.”
Why the team chose RoomRaiser
The hotel’s Previo PMS account manager introduced the team to RoomRaiser. Beyond the software itself, the hotel valued that the onboarding team understood hotel operations and considered the property’s characteristics, commercial priorities and competitive set.
“I really liked that both of them came from the hotel industry. They did not just think in terms of prices and numbers: they considered the hotel’s characteristics and our operational priorities, and tailored the system to our hotel on that basis.”
Setup and Previo integration
The setup began with an online meeting, a short questionnaire and several reports exported from the PMS. The RoomRaiser team then connected Previo, helped identify the hotel’s relevant competitors and configured the pricing parameters. After receiving access, the hotel and the onboarding team fine-tuned the setup together over the following days.
At the time of the interview, Panoráma Hotel tested the system for one month without obligation before the paid period began. Current commercial terms may differ.
A simpler daily pricing workflow
Once the initial data and parameters were in place, the hotel could review recommended changes in a clear table and list the dates that needed attention. The team also remained in contact with RoomRaiser during implementation, so questions could be resolved while the workflow was being fine-tuned.
“After a month of using the system, I find it simple to use. The list available in the table is easy to process and understand. With one click, all dates for which a price change is recommended can be listed.”
Results and time saved
According to customer figures first shared in 2024, between September 2023 and February 2024 online-channel bookings increased 45%, while revenue from those bookings rose 60% compared with the same period a year earlier.
Ágnes also reported that she could reprice the hotel for the year ahead in at most half an hour, mainly by reviewing the suggested rates, compared with approximately four hours previously. She found the RoomRaiser fee more favourable than the external offers the hotel had received before.
Who can benefit from this approach?
“I recommend RoomRaiser to small and medium-sized hotels that do not have a dedicated Revenue Manager but sell through online booking systems (OTAs) and mainly view these platforms as sales channels. I also recommend it to those who are just getting started with revenue management and dynamic pricing.”
