In this customer story The challenge: many rates to update by hand
Hajnal Hotel is a family-run, 53-room medicinal spa hotel next to the Zsóry thermal baths in Mezőkövesd, with its own medicinal thermal water and bathing facilities. It previously managed daily, weekend, seasonal and holiday rates manually, later with the help of spreadsheets. According to Economic Director Dávid Lázár, changing and entering a full month of rates took around 90 minutes.
The challenge: many rates to update by hand
Different periods and occupancy levels called for different prices. Spreadsheets helped organise the work, but changing and entering rates remained time-consuming.
What the team changed
RoomRaiser gives Dávid a quick view of daily occupancy. Colour-coded charts help him spot periods filling quickly and dates where rooms remain available. He can adjust base rates and pricing rules in minutes, while a price-rounding setting supports the hotel’s day-to-day payment practices. The team can still review and change the rates whenever needed.
Results reported by the customer
Dávid estimates that updating a full month of rates now takes around five minutes instead of 90. He also reports an approximately 10–15% increase in average room rate without a decline in booking numbers.
The hotel changed its marketing strategy during the same period. Dávid attributes the increase in booking volume primarily to marketing, while saying RoomRaiser’s occupancy-based pricing helped the hotel sell rooms at higher rates.
“It’s so well designed that I can get my pricing work done quickly and easily.”
The practical takeaway
For Hajnal Hotel, the clearest quantified change is the time saved on monthly rate updates. Alongside automation, the economic director retains control of base rates, pricing rules and rounding that reflects the hotel’s operating practices.
